Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga specifically seeks to target the connective tissue of the body through long, slow holds of cooling poses that allow it to expand over time.

Yin uses gravity paired with body weight to gradually expand the connective tissue. It is a practice which aids healing by synchronising our brain and restoring balance and harmony in our human body.

You do not have to be experienced in yoga to do this practice.
Gong Baths
Gong Baths are highly rejuvenating for the body and bring about an overall sense of relaxation, which can reduce stress as well as help develop a better ability to cope with stress, help move emotional blockages from trauma and even stimulate altered states of consciousness.

The sounds stimulate your Vagus nerve that can help reduce your stress hormones and allows you to feel less anxious.

Its just great taking time for yourself too.

ABOUT ANGE
I started my fitness journey when I was 38 (2004). I was working for Stockport Council, was about to be made redundant and wasn’t sure what I was going to do with myself.

I decided to train as a gym instructor. Initially, I trained in Boxercise, then various other disciplines.

Whilst working at a gym in Stockport, I took an interest in Pilates and Yoga and undertook further training in these areas. I have a Diploma in Yoga as well as certification in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and most recently Yoga and the 36 Menopause Symptoms.

In addition, I have completed a Personal Training Course (with weight management and nutrition), Pre and Post Natal Fitness Level 3, Zumba, Spin and Circuits.
On a personal note, I’m 57 years old, married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. I also have a little pug called Doug!

I decided to learn more about menopause and yoga when I started my own perimenopause journey. I realised I didn’t know anything about it, you didn’t talk about it - you just got on with it!!

I’m actively learning as much as possible so that I can help other women in the same situation. Menopause can be a very lonely time in a woman’s life, with the right support and information hopefully I can help with that.
